Powder texture
Lighter at the front, gradually deeper towards the tail. It looks like colour softly dusted onto the skin.
Stuck between microblading and powder brows? At MODA BROW in Busan Seomyeon we compare the two on three things: the finish, how much brow hair you already have, and your skin type. Neither is better; the right one is the one that suits your brows and face. Combo brows, which mix the two, sit in the middle.

Worth thinking about before you message us.
With a fair amount of natural hair, adding strokes is often enough. With very sparse or patchy brows, powder shading usually gives a more stable shape.
Fine strokes are generally more likely to blur on oily skin. We check your skin in person at the consultation.
If you want to look natural bare-faced, microblading is closer. If you like the neat look of filled-in brows, powder is closer.
Our Danagyeol design reads your bone structure, brow muscle movement and hair direction to set the shape, then picks the technique that makes that shape look most natural.
Lighter at the front, gradually deeper towards the tail. It looks like colour softly dusted onto the skin.
Fine strokes follow your natural hair direction, one at a time, aiming to be hard to tell apart from real hairs up close.
Across the whole face, powder gives a soft, lightly made-up look and a clearer shape.
Even within one technique, width, depth and angle change for every face. Send us a screenshot of any result you like by Instagram DM.

Here are the three techniques side by side. These are general tendencies; results and colour retention vary from person to person.
| Microblading | Combo | Powder | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Finish | Fine strokes like individual hairs | Strokes at the front, soft at the tail | Soft shading like light makeup |
| Best for | Some natural brow hair | Full front, thin tail | Sparse or patchy brows |
| Skin type | Strokes can blur on oily skin | Front strokes depend on skin | Works on most skin types |
| Bare-faced look | Most natural | Natural with more shape | Neat, defined |
| Colour retention (general) | Fine lines tend to fade sooner | Varies by area | Generally said to hold longer |
| More | Hair stroke brows | Combo brows | Powder brows |
