Korean microblading aftercare in Busan Seomyeon: washing and daily care
The first days are when the colour settles into the skin. Keep these in mind.
- Washing: cleanse and moisturise the way you were shown after treatment, keeping foam and cleanser off your brows.
- Drying: do not rub with a towel; pat gently with a clean towel or cotton pad.
- Hands: keep your hands clean and avoid touching the area unnecessarily.
- Moisturising: apply only what you were given, thinly, with clean hands or a cotton bud. Do not swap in other creams.
- Flaking and itching: do not scratch or pick flakes off. Let them fall away on their own.
- Colour: the colour right after treatment is not the healed colour, so try not to judge it on day one.
- Sleeping: try to sleep on your back so your brows do not rub on the pillow.
Detailed care for each area follows the written aftercare sheet given at the studio. That sheet takes priority over this page.
What to avoid for a while after treatment
These are usually avoided in the early stage of healing. Your written instructions give the exact timings.
- Sauna, jjimjilbang, hot springs and long baths
- Swimming in pools or the sea
- Exercise or activities that make you sweat heavily
- Makeup on the brow area (brow products, foundation)
- Harsh cosmetics, or peels, scrubs, retinol and other exfoliating products on the treated area
- Long periods in strong sun (shade your brows with a hat)
If pain or swelling gets worse, or you notice heat or pus (possible signs of infection), see a doctor promptly and let us know as well.
Brow healing and care, day by day
A general guide to what you may see and how to care for it. How quickly things move, and the final colour, depend on your skin and the type of treatment.
| When | What is common | Care focus |
|---|---|---|
| Day 0 to a few days | Colour looks darker with sharper edges; temporary redness or swelling is possible | Don't rub; start the care you were given |
| A few days to about a week | Light flaking and itching may appear | Clean hands; wash and moisturise as instructed |
| After flaking | Colour can look faded or patchy for a while | No picking, no scratching |
| Around 2 weeks | The skin surface has often settled | Give it time |
| Over a few weeks | Colour gradually blends into the skin and settles | Judge the colour around now; send a photo if anything concerns you |

Brow tattoo washing and aftercare: common questions
Can I wash my face on the day?
Generally you can wash the rest of your face gently, keeping your brows out of it. We explain exactly how after your treatment.
How do I remove makeup?
Remove it everywhere except the brow area, keeping cleanser away from your brows. Avoid wipes that drag across them.
I picked off a flake. What now?
The colour may be lighter there. Leave the rest alone and keep your hands clean. Once your skin has settled, send a photo and we will tell you whether a touch-up is worth it.
Can I use sunscreen?
Keep it off the brows themselves and shade them with a hat. Use sunscreen on the rest of your face as normal.
Redness or itching is lasting after I got home.
Send a photo by WhatsApp, Instagram, KakaoTalk or LINE. If pain or swelling gets worse, or you notice heat or pus (possible signs of infection), see a local doctor promptly.
Do I need to bring my own aftercare product?
We tell you what to use after treatment, and whether you need to buy anything yourself.
